VETERANS ORAL HISTORY PROJECT
ORAL HISTORY 479 HONORS COURSE
This course is a oral history course taught by Andrea L'Hommedieu for Honors College Students. There are 20 students within the class who are interviewing military veterans. This course meets twice each week in the Hollings Special Collections Library. The purpose of the project is to learn how to conduct one-on-one interviews, as well as getting an insight on local veterans in their community.

“You can take written history and understand a piece of what happened. But if you can actually interview people who lived through it, you often get a dramatically different perspective,” says Tom McNally, dean of University Libraries.
